Pelekas

Pelekas is a pretty village about 12 kilometres west of Corfu Town. The village is built on a rocky hill and provides fabulous 360 degree views. Pelekas is a typical Greek village with narrow streets and a lovely town square. The church of Panaghia Odigitria is worth visiting.

Kontogialos Beach:
The closest beach to Pelekas is Kontogialos Beach. It is a pretty, crescent shaped beach with golden sand, surrounded by lush green vegetation. There is a free minibus service from the village to the beach or it is about a 10 minute walk.

Pelekas is at the geographical centre of The Corfu Trail and is a good starting point for walks in either direction (north or south).
Transport:
There is a regular bus service (blue buses) between Pelekas and Corfu Town - it is a 30 minute bus ride. Taxis are available.
