Moraitika

Moraitika is a popular tourist resort on the south-east coast of Corfu, about 20 kms from Corfu town. Moraitika is separated from nearby Messonghi by the Messonghi River, however the two places are often spoken of as one resort - the Messonghi-Moraitika Resort. Moraitika is a purpose-built resort and offers everything to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

There are several gift and clothing shops along the main street as well as supermarkets and travel offices.


Moraitika Beach:

The beach is a long sandy beach and the water is warm and shallow.  It is a safe beach for children. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for hire daily. You can buy drinks and light refreshments from the beach bars.

Moraitika offers a number of water sports including pedalos, water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing and para gliding.  There is a Scuba Diving Centre for both experienced divers and those wanting to learn. Boat trips are also available.

Nearby:

The village of Episcopiana is 5 kms north of Moraitika and has excellent views of the coast.  It is the birthplace of the first governor of Greece - Ioannis Capodistrias.Mwraitika, Corfu

Also nearby are Benitses resort (7 kms north) and the beach of Aghios Ioannis.

Transport:

There is a local taxi station in the village. Moraitika also has a regular bus service south to Kavos and Messonghi, and north to Benitses and Corfu town.
