Liapades
Liapades is a pretty village located on the west coast of Corfu, 20.5 kms (30 minutes) from Corfu Town. Liapades, a traditional village with narrow streets and traditional houses, is a very beautiful place to visit. The village is set on a hill and has fine views. In the shady village square you will find cafes and bars, and the beautiful church of St. Anastasia, built in the early 1600s.

There are several tavernas and restaurants offering traditional Greek or international cuisine. Some have live entertainment.

Gefyra Beach:
The beach (Gefyra) is about one kilometre below Liapades village. It is a pretty, sandy/shingle beach set in a sheltered cove surrounded by tree-covered hills.

There are many good walking trails in the area. The Corfu Trail passes through Liapades. You can walk high above the coastline and have wonderful views, or through forests of olive trees. Explore the nearby beaches of Glyko, Rovinia, Limni, Klimatia and Liniodoros, or the villages of Gianades, Marmaro and Kanakades.
Transport:
There is a regular bus service (green buses) between Liapades and Corfu Town. The trip takes about 45 minutes and is a very scenic. In Liapades the bus station is near the beach.
There are two local taxi drivers who you can telephone (there isn't a taxi rank).
