Kontokali

Kontokali is a relatively quiet residential area located on the east coast of Corfu about 6 kms north of Corfu Town. It is very close to Gouvia and the two resorts practically join together.

Who it Appeals To:

Families, couples, boat owners.

Tavernas/Restaurants/Bars:

Some good restaurants, tavernas and cafes. Only a few bars. A livelier nightlife is available at nearby Gouvia.

Shopping:

Local shops available but larger supermarkets and more shops close by in Gouvia.

Kontokali Beach:

A sandy-pebble beach and the water is shallow. It is a good beach for families. There is also a smaller beach to the north of the main beach.

Blue Flag Beach:

Yes.

Beach Facilities & Services:

Sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets and showers available.

Water Sports & Boat Hire:

Kontokali is not known as a water sports resort however Gouvia is close by and has a variety of water sports available and boats for rent.
 
Nearby:

Gouvia is only about a 20-30 minute walk from Kontokali. Ipsos and Dassia are also close by.  And of course Corfu Town is close by (about 15-20 minutes by bus).

Transport:

Regular bus service (blue bus) between Kontokali and Corfu Town. Taxis are readily available.
