Glyfada
Glyfada is a popular tourist resort located on the west coast of Corfu, about 16 kms from Corfu town. Glyfada Beach is a long stretch of golden sand surrounded by tree
covered cliffs and dramatic rock formations and is one of the most popular beaches in Corfu.

Glyfada has several tavernas and bars along the beach.
Shopping:
There are a couple of small supermarkets and gift shops near the beach.
Glyfada Beach:
The beach is about 1km of soft, golden sand with clear shallow water. It is a very clean beach and the soft sand is ideal for children however the water can get a bit rough if there is a westerly wind.
At one end of the beach are rocks over 40 ft high which are popular for jumping and diving.

Visit beautiful Myriotissa, a small bay 2 kms north of Glyfada, to see the Holy Monastery of Panaghia Myrtiotissa (Holy Virgin of the Myrtles).
Also worth a visit is the mountain village of Pelekas.
Transport:
Public buses (green buses) run frequently between Glyfada and Corfu Town.
