Ermones

Ermones is located on the west coast of Corfu about 18 kms from Corfu Town. It is a small tourist resort with a couple of hotels and a few apartments. The beach is a small cove surrounded by steep hills and fringed by lush green vegetation.

Tavernas/Restaurants/Bars:

There are three tavernas down at the beach and three up in the village.
 

Shopping:

Limited shopping - one supermarket.

Ermones Beach:

A small sand and shingle beach at the bottom of steep rocks. There are steep steps down to the beach from the carpark. The bay has rocks at either end and natural vegetation behind it. There are a couple of hotels overlooking the bay and Ermones Beach Hotel has a small funicular for guests to access the beach. Ermones Beach is calm and suitable for children however be careful as the water deepens quickly.

Water Sports & Boat Hire:

Limited water sports. There is a small diving centre. Sailing boats and pedalos can be rented.

Nearby:

There are three small villages nearby - Giannades (4 kms), Marmaro (6 kms) and Kanakades (7 kms). At nearby Vatos (3 kms) there is camping with full facilities.

Transport:

The best way to get to Ermones is by taxi and or rental car.
