Agios Georgios (south)
Agios Georgios (south) is on the south-west coast of Corfu about 30 kms from Corfu Town. It has become a lively resort and combines the surrounding natural beauty with all the activities of a tourist resort plus nightlife - however it is certainly not as busy as Kavos. The long sandy beach is good for families. The main beach has plenty of activities but you can walk to either end of the beach for a more relaxing time. There are sand dunes and Lake Korission at the northern end, and the resort and water sports at the southern end.
Also known as St George, Agios Georgios should not be confused with a resort of the same name in the north of Corfu.
