Acharavi

Acharavi is located on the north coast of Corfu 38 kms from Corfu Town. It is the main town for the Northern region of the island as well as a popular resort.

Shopping:

As the main town on the north of the island, Acharavi is a relatively large commercial centre with a shopping centre, supermarkets, tourist offices, post office, banks, hardware store, dentist and doctors.

Acharavi Beach:

A long sand and shingle beach (about 3 kms long) which is good for families it slopes gently down to the sea so the water is clear and shallow.

Water Sports & Boat Hire:

There is a sports centre on the beach with pedalos, water skiing, parasailing and windsurfing. Boat rental is also available.

Acharavi has a water park - Hydropolis set in large landscaped gardens and features 9 giant slides, 15 mini slides and swimming pools plus all the facilities of a sports and leisure centre. It is open every day from 10.30am to 6.30pm.

Nearby:

The countryside and hills around Acharavi are perfect for those who enjoy walking. Some of the pathways are part of the Corfu Trail. Mt Pantokrator, Corfu's highest mountain, is also nearby.

Transport:

A regular bus service (green buses) between Acharavi and Corfu Town.Taxis are available.
